          Programs

The Academy of Massage and Bodywork, Ltd. offers:

 ~ a 330 hour Massage Technician Program
 ~ a 660 hour Massage Therapist Program
 ~ a 600 hour Advanced Medical Spa Aesthetician Program 
 ~ and a 1500 hour Cosmetology Program


The Massage Technician Program prepares students for employment in the State of Delaware only as a Certified Massage Technician. The curriculum for this program includes: Anatomy and physiology, massage theory and techniques, professional, ethical and legal issues, contraindications and complimentary massage skills and CPR certification.

  • The Massage Technician Program is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 2:00pm for the day class and from 5:30pm to 10:30pm for the night class.
The Massage Therapist Program prepares students for employment as a Licensed Massage Therapist in states that require a passing grade in the National Certification Exam, administered by the NCBTMB which includes the State of study massage in Delaware Maryland school Academy of Massage and Bodywork Delaware, and where the required number of hours is met. The curriculum for the Massage Therapist Program includes: Anatomy and physiology, massage theory and technique, professional, ethical and legal issues, contraindications, applied theory and technique as well as elective and alternative modalities such as; eastern, oriental, western and Ayurvedic modalities, reflexology, sports massage, pre-natal and infant massage, hydrotherapy, body wraps, neuromuscular techniques and CPR certification.

  • The Massage Therapist Program is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 2:00pm for the day class and from 5:30pm to 10:30pm for the night class.

The Advanced Medical-Spa Aesthetician Program prepares students for employment in a medical spa. The curriculum includes:  basic facial techniques, facial massage, body treatments, make-up techniques, waxing, advanced facial techniques, chemical peels, air brush make-up, microdermabrasion and the use of other spa related equipment.

  • The day class Aesthetician program is offered Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
  • The night class Aesthetician program is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

The Cosmetology Program prepares students for employment in states that require a 1500 hour program. The curriculum for this program includes: principles of hair design, haircutting, hairstyling, braiding and braid extensions, chemical texture services and hair coloring, as well as manicures, facials, make-up and waxing.

  • The day class for the Cosmetology Program is offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, plus every second Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
